The Client: Richemont owns several of the world’s leading companies in the field of luxury goods, with particular strengths in jewellery, luxury watches and writing instruments.
Their Maisons™ encompass several of the most prestigious names in the luxury industry including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC Schaffhausen, Panerai and Montblanc.
The Challenge: Working with the head of Intellectual Property in their legal function our challenge was to develop the management and leadership skills of several key members of the legal IP team. This assignment was challenging as each of the participants are highly qualified international legal professionals and IP technical specialists. They have had very little adaptive skills training and the assignment was designed to enhance their people and influencing skills.
The Work We Did: We provided highly tailored breakthrough coaching support transferring knowledge, tools and confidence to enhance the adaptive skills of these highly qualified technical lawyers.
The Outcomes: The lawyers are now better appreciated and understood within the Maisons and their ability to work as effective team members within the various international teams they are part of has increased. This has increased their effectiveness and enabled them to apply their technical knowledge within the organisation to greater effect.
